Six American Bresse Eggs
Half dozen eggs.
Absolutely stunning bird whose origins hail from the former province of Bresse in eastern France. While there are four colors the Bresse breed has, we have the white variety. The red combs stand out beautifully from their white plumage and blue ears.
The Bresse is a dual purpose bird with excellent egg production and known to be the tastiest flavor of any table bird.
Eggs: The hens can lay over 250 large eggs per year and are cream-tinted.
Characteristics/Color: White with blue ears and red combs.
This is a newer breed to North America and our goal is to preserve the breed standards of the French Bresse, from which the American Bresse comes from. Ours, and all lines in the United States, are developed from Greenfire Farms.
